Ny öppen bok om undervisning i det digitala samhället

Tony Bates är en av de mest respekterade pioniärerna inom nätbaserad utbildning och en flitig förespråkare av öppenhet inom utbildning. Han har just publicerat en ny bok, Teaching in a digital age där han verkligen lever som har lär. Boken är öppen och gratis att ladda ner och dessutom har den skrivits kapitel för kapitel i hans blogg med möjligheter för alla att kommentera och föreslå ändringar och tillägg. Boken ger en insiktsfull överblick på alla utmaningar och möjligheter som fins inom e-lärande och omfattar de senaste trenderna som MOOCs, flipped classroom, blended learning mobilt lärande mm.

- The book examines the underlying principles that guide effective teaching in an age when everyone,and in particular the students we are teaching, are using technology. A framework for making decisions about your teaching is provided, while understanding that every subject is different, and every instructor has something unique and special to bring to their teaching. The book enables teachers and instructors to help students develop the knowledge and skills they will need in a digital age: not so much the IT skills, but the thinking and attitudes to learning that will bring them success.
